Weather:

Overcast, temperature hovering around freezing all day. 

Tasking:

  • Prepared and connected base trailer to power, lights and heat are now operational!
  • Installed Central Pivot, save for outstanding sensors. Fuse in center pivot electronics box(source of 120v for station power) blew since it was a 1A, replaced with 5A 

  • Investigated Memorial Hill communication issues, station is up and collecting data but comms are down
  • Trip to the hardware

    In other news today...

    • Changed a few positions of stuff at DC to avoid anemometer flow disturbance
    • Moved the DCS TT about 160m NNE to avoid putting a swale in the radiometer footprint
    • Surveyed positions of the rest of the DCS components
    • Met with Sebastian and mostly decided on a strategy to deploy radiometers for an intercomparison.  We may end up using his darkhorse clones exclusively, since they are drilled with a hole pattern that matches his sensors.  A final decision will be made when he and Dan meet tomorrow.
    • Demoed a soil installation at SP for Sebastian
    • Power was installed at the base trailer and works

    (Doesn't seem like much, but managed to take the entire day, and did require some thought.)
