h1. Continuous Airborne CO ~2~ Data Campos, Teresa; Samuel, Hall; Rochester, Lloyd; Shertz, Steve; Britton Stephens; Husted, Lindsay National Center for Atmospheric Research (Research Aviation Facility). Contact: campos@ucar.edu Airborne CO ~2~ Instrument Airborne Carbon in the Mountains Experiment (ACME) There are two types of files for each flight: one with everything but the kitchen sink (RAF auxiliary variables, fit coefficients, and CO2 with the calibration data left in), and the second file type ('bare') has only a time stamp and the CO2 mixing ratio data with calibrations removed. For flights 4,5,8,and 16 there are an 'a' and 'b' version of each file type, reflecting two time segments per flight. Release date: 5 April, 2005 Preliminary CO2 data Please use with caution, especially when the CO2 housekeeping pressure variable (column 25) is not constant to within a few tenths of a mBar. Preferred value for CO2 mixing ratio is in column 3, derived from a polynomial sensitivity function. Data have been averaged from a native sampling rate of 25-Hz down to 5-Hz. Auxiliary data from RAF standard sensors (columns 5-18) do not represent final release data quality. Please use these with caution. 25 data columns, listed in the order stored within each file, represent the following variables: UT, universal time, in fractional hours, GMT C02, mixing ratio (ppmv) {intepolated by a quadratic sensitivity function} CO2, mixing ratio (ppmv) {interpolated by a linear sensitivity function} CO2, raw singal, V ATX, ambient temperature, celsius DPXC, corrected dew point in degrees celsius LATC, latitude, degrees LONC, longitude, degrees PALT, pressure altitude, meters PITCH, aircraft pitch angle, degrees UIC, corrected wind vector East component, m/s VIC, corrected wind vector West component, m/s WIC, corrected vertical wind vector, m/s MRLA, water vapor mixing ratio, Lyman-alpha sensor, g/kg MRLA1, water vapor mixing ratio, Lyman-alpha sensor, g/kg CONCN, condensation nucleus concentration, #/cm3 HGM232, geometric radar altitude, m THETA, potential temperature, K CO2 sensitivity coefficients, squared term for polynomial interpolation CO2 sensitivity coefficients, linear term for polynomial interpolation CO2 sensitivity coefficients, Constant term for polynomial interpolation CO2 sensitivity coefficients, Linear term for linear interpolation CO2 sensitivity coefficients, Constant term for linear interpolation CO2 Calibration valve state : lo_span=4, ref_cal=1, hi_span= 3, long term_standard= 2 CO2 housekeeping pressure variable, mBar (Sample Cell Bypass P) CO2 housekeeping total flow rate, sccm (Chokeflow) CO2 housekeeping pressure variable, mBar (Reference Cell P) CO2 housekeeping pressure variable, mBar (Sample Cell Downstream P) Teresa Campos NCAR Research Aviation Facility Atmospheric Chemistry Division Earth Observing Laboratory [^125RF01HR.ASC] [^125RF01HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF03HR.ASC] [^125RF03HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF04HRA.ASC] [^125RF04HRA BARE.ASC] [^125RF05HRA.ASC] [^125RF05HRA BARE.ASC] [^125RF06HR.ASC] [^125RF06HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF07HRA.ASC] [^125RF07HRA BARE.ASC] [^125RF08HRA.ASC] [^125RF08HRA BARE.ASC] [^125RF09HR.ASC] [^125RF09HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF10HR.ASC] [^125RF10HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF11HR.ASC] [^125RF11HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF12HR.ASC] [^125RF12HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF13HR.ASC] [^125RF13HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF14HR.ASC] [^125RF14HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF15HR.ASC] [^125RF15HR BARE.ASC] [^125RF16HRA BARE.ASC] |
