Access
The tower site(34.494511, -119.824009) is located on a hill, with a rough track leading to the field with the site. A lovely spot!

Notes
- Contact Milo by email 2–24 hrs before any visits.

- Horse paneling was discussed to potentially be installed around the tower site, but the landowner volunteered to install that
- There is a steer (Steve saw a burro, 3/29) on the property, but he is reported to be harmless. There may also be goats around.
Picture Trail
When I visited I parked in the parking lot and walked to the site. The road is passable with a vehicle with good clearance and four-wheel drive, the worst section is a steep and rocky part that could be challenging to drive back up. P.S.: Steve drove the white pickup both ways along this track 3/29 without incident.
Left turn off Camino Cielo to Windermere Ranch. | Automatic gate into the ranch. | Parking lot on left just inside the gate. |
Fork to the right of the main road, across from the parking lot. | Follow the road past the pond on the left. | Go through the unlocked gate. |
To Do
- Take normal site photos
- Check for 2A fuse

2022-03-16 Visit by Gary
I emailed Milo in the morning asking to visit the site, and asking how much notice he would like for future maintenance visits. His response is that advance notice is good if we know in advance, but we don't need to wait for a response before visiting. He would prefer not to keep showing people where the site is located, so I assured him we would document the directions for future visitors. (P.S.: Steve was expecting a map, and didn't see the "picture trail", since it was at the bottom of the post – since moved closer to the top).
At the site, I replaced the Y power cable with a short straight cable. I connected to the DSM over wifi and installed the dsm_watch_network script and rebooted. The dashboard returned to all green, Icharge was 6.4A, Vcharge at 15.5V. After the boot, ping google succeeded. I also updated the chrony config and project configuration and restarted dsm. Verified that dsm and the watch network service were both running:
