Overview
This is an-ongoing, funded collaboration between NCAR and KISTI to extend the capabilities of VAPOR to better meet the needs of the computational geosciences communities. This is a our sixth year of collaboration. Primary project deliverables for this year include a number of additions to vaporgui:
- Line plots: Support for drawing of XY “line” plots will be added.
- Variable statistics: Support for the calculation and display of basic data variable statistics will be added.
- Mouse-based color bar manipulation: Sizing and positioning of color bars will be enabled.
- Supplemental color bar annotation: Additional annotation for color bars will be offered.
- Documentation: All new features will be documented as part of VAPOR’s User Documentation.
In addition to the development items above CISL will again host a visiting scientist from KISTI, tentatively scheduled for a 2 month visit in the summer.
Schedule
The period of performance is April 1, 2016 - November 30, 2016. A release candidate for VAPOR containing all software developed under this agreement will be made available before the end of the PoP.
A KISTI scientist, Dongming Jang, is tentatively scheduled to visit for two months starting in July.
