VAPOR Project

KISTI Award:
Jiwoo Lee finished his visit here, providing us with a diverse collection of models for testing, plus a good understanding of the Kisti requirements.
WASP Award:
John reviewed resumes for the open position at UCSD.
2.4 Development:
We finalized all planned features for Vapor 2.4, and moved to the testing/release phase
We have been working hard to identify and fix all the serious bugs in the 2.4.0 release candidate.
Alan implemented the Windows installers, based on the new windows libraries prepared by Miles.
John built first installers for the Mac.
John made some minor changes to the code base to support model outputs from the UKMet weather model.

John and Alan attended IEEE Vis in Paris. While there we met with Mark Hedley from the UK Met office, who is very interested in using VAPOR to visualize their model. John and Hank Childs met to discuss continuing collaborations with Hank's student, Samuel.
John gave a booth talk at SC14 on VAPOR

Pete provided Alan with a new simulation of the Boulder floods of 2013, however there still is a problem with this data; the new model did not show enough precipitation near the mountains.
