Opportunities for Local Volunteers
Description & Benefits:
Reach out to the local community and schools to get volunteers to help with daily and/or special activities at the Supercomputing Center. This will help the local Cheyenne community have a sense of buy-in and committment to the Supercomputing Center and the programs that have been brought to the community as a result of its presence. It will also provide opportunties for them to learn more about computing and atmospheric sciences.
UCAR/NCAR's role:
Identify volunteer opportunties. Find and train volunteers.
External roles:
Laramie County School District could help to locate volunteers from the schools (e.g., high school students, teachers, etc.).
