Promote Environmental Awareness
Description & Benefits:
Promote environmental awareness by leading by example. For instace, ensure that the Supercomputing Center is a zero waste facility. This could be highlighted with the benefits discussed during tours, special events, informational brochures about the Center, Center's web site, etc. We could also provide guests with information about where to find resources to help them achieve zero waste in their communities.
External roles:
Eco-Cycle of Boulder (www.ecocycle.org/atschool) - Good local resource to help provide us with information and ideas on how we can implement this program at the Center.
Cheyenne Recycling (307) 635-5986 - Local recycling facility that would likely help us to promote environmental awareness through the steps taken at the Center. They may also be interested in using us as an example to other businesses in their own endeavors to promote awareness.
